Good monday girls! Just wanted to let everyone know that your swap partners were emailed this morning so if you didn't get your info send me a quick message. There are a couple of new girls in this swap and I just want to let everyone know I'm here to help if you need me.Also since it's a open swap you can ask your partner things and get to know them....A couple of you were not accepted and I want to let you know I was not trying in anyway to be mean only to make sure everyone is protected so we have a worry free swap. It's also a prim swap not a general swap..I do check in on all of the swappers before accepting new people and like to know you to some extent before letting you join in.If you were ever on the bad end of a swap you would completely understand this...I'm not saying those that were not included can never join in or are not good enough only that I did not know you well enough at this point. So please comment once in awhile,do blog post on your blogs so I can get to know you that way you will be able to join in on the future swaps.I host about 6 a year.Again only want to ensure everyone is able to enjoy a worry free and fun environment...Our next swap will be posted the end of April or Early May and shipped June.It will be Flowers,Birds and Bumble Bees.........Katie http://alltheseboysx5.blogspot.com/ and I recently swapped.Katie is so friendly and her littlest Kaden always brings a giggle or a smile with his antics. Here are the gifts she sent...
She also sent a bag of dove caramel chocolates but they were promptly opened, sampled, then put into hiding..smile..The little black doll will go into my doll basket,The carrots seed package will go into my wood carrier with other gardening themed things.I gotta say I have wanted a bunny like this for a couple of years and was so excited when I opened her.Just prim perfect! Thanks sweet Katie! Warm Blessings!~Amy

Gifts of Friendship
I am so blessed with friendships.I never would have thought that I would find my kindred spirits but through blogging so many have become so close. Two years ago I lost my best friend. She was more like my sister her mom died when she was 15 so she spent every holiday with me and we talked or visited daily for over 20 years. When her son was born I was his only Auntie. We shared everything. The night she died we got the call at 2 am and I traveled in a ice storm to try to get to her almost wrecking due to the bad roads.I still think I see her driving to come see me when I look out the kitchen window. We always said we would be grannies sitting in rockers bickering together..I miss her so much..She was my kindred spirit and I honestly never thought I'd find anyone like her but I see so much of her in so many of you.Yes I have family and friends close but they just don't get me like many of you....I am blessed by so many of you and am so Thankful I started this journey...I truely hope that I bless you all the way you bless my life.....I want to share some sweet gifts I received from some special friends...First are the the beautiful hooked hearts from Teri http://www.whitesheepfarm.com/ I was her special Valentine. If I had to describe Teri I'd say she is one of the most honest people. She is also passionate, loyal and giving....
The next little surprise was from my very sweet friend Lil Raggedy Angie.I just love her! If she was closer I'd surely be dragging her on adventures all the time. Her little princess is just the cutest ever..She knew I was drooling over these sweet sheep she creates. So she sent me one just because she loves me..I litterly did a happy dance when I opened it.I love it! I have a little surprise in mind for her as well..She is always there when I need to vent or need someone to just listen and understand. She is a wonderful secret keeper..smile.....The next pics are a recent swap I did with Renee Recollecting the past...
Renee and I always say we are long lost sisters. So much the same about us but I'm definatly better at hiding my clutter than she is.LoL..Renee I love all the sweet gifts.Thank all of you girls for brightening my day! I am so blessed in so many ways.I am a strong believer that what you put into the world is what comes back to you.......Today I'm going to be playing creating so busy day ahead.I have some gifts to get done, a order, and want to work on a giveaway...Just want to remind you if you want to be in the spring swap I need your info by tomorrow (saturday) click on the link on the sidebar for rules and sign up info.I'm still waiting on a few of your emails. If I received your info you would have got a confirmation from me.Happy Friday!~Amy

Lazy Day,Weekend and Odds and Ends
Well after a hectic week I finally got some down time on saturday. But lets start with friday I didn't want to spend $45 dollars on a wall board as I figured my hubby could build me one.I saw this board with hooks and colonial primitive scoll work on top at the antique mall and thought about it for a week.I decided in my head it would be perfect for me.I was going to hang a prim doll that was coming and my hooked rug and a box with a tiny black doll and star off this.I originally had a step back along this wall which I sold and moved a old blanket cupboard and store counter display so the wall looks empty.Well friday I talked hubby into taking me to buy it.We got there and the girl was filling her both so she says a couple came in the night before and bought everything in her booth. She can't get another in with christmas and it being busy.So I was grouchy and dissapointed.I'm not someone who just buys to buy I think about things and only buy what I really like and I really thought this would be perfect.(hubby is going to build me one soon as he gets a break in work) So I get home and things start getting better. There's two boxes waiting on the porch. My firkin from etsy pictured at bottom and my swap from Lorna!!!
I was sooo excited to open this.Lorna went above and beyond for me.I hope she feels the same when she opens my gifts to her.The best part was this black santa doll she made me.I love prim black dolls. He has a wool beard and prim Tree and star with him.He is just prim to perfection.

We had to do 3 ornies and these are the little ticking stockings with chenille candy canes...
A wonderful smelling pantry cake and hand painted stack box and little wood snowman ornie.
I was just tickled with everything! Best swap partner I ever had she really put thought and care into it.Lorna if you're reading Thank You so very much!!

Below is just a picture I have and thought you might like to see it.It's a tree with all kinds of things on it and the bottom reads these things do please me well.It always reminds me of the holidays for some reason and really has nothing to do with the holidays.I think it just makes me think of thankful things.

Then I found out I won Tami's wonderful giveaway for her prairie doll.So my whole mood was changed for the weekend. Then I went to a little prim shop in our town. They have some nice things but most of it is imports not hand dids by artist.I like that special touch and one of a kind look not the mass produced look.Don't get me wrong the stuff in the shop is nice but it's pricey and if I'm going to pay $50 for a doll I don't want Honey and Me.I want something special. or if I'm paying big money for a cupboard I want a real antique one.The lady that owns the shop buys from me alot when I set up in the summer and she does have some vintage/antique displays so I bought a old Halloween crepe paper horn.So on to Saturday...We stayed home and I worked on finishing a few crafty things and swaps. Then we watched some movies and of course hubby fell asleep. This is a picture of the couch it's new with double recliners but we barely use it because....

Sunday I woke up early (3:30 am) Not use to the time change plus I don't sleep much.We ended up going to the fleamarket and to breakfast.Let me tell you it was cold and not worth the trip.I think I finally got it in my head no more yardsales or fleamarkets after November.Maybe...Dad has some auctions so I'll switch to warmer junking......And finally pictures of the firkin..It was bigger than I thought.

I have several and plan to stack them when I find time to rearrange some things.
Well hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.I checked out a few of your blogs and see some of you found some prim goodies.I have a few new followers as well so welcome.Don't forget the giveaway you can click on the picture on the sidebar and it should take you there.I need to go to the post office and pay bills so fun day for me.(smile) Harvest Blessings!~Amy
