Old Lady Morgan wants to know

Marie wanted to get us daydreaming of my favorite season again. Yep I think every day I think of it already so she wants to know why..She also is tempting us all to share by giving away one of her wickedly wonderful creations. So when your done visiting me stop over and see her Prims by OLM
Ok on to just a few of my favorite things about fall (the list could go forever but I'm keeping it short)

Raking leaves so we can jump in the piles.Love the smell, crunchy sound and being a kid again with the girls and Jayson.....
Cozy sweater and early evening walks under the moon...

Time to bake yummy desserts.Anything pumpkin and cream cheese will do....
Candles a Glow..Warm spicy scents wafting through the air..Mmmmmm....
Cider and warm drinks warming our hands and tummy....
Beautiful changing leaves and back road drives just to look at old farms and visit small towns, markets and farm stands...
Comfy warm Blankets to curl up in on lazy PJ days....
Warm Colors and decorating. When home really starts to feel like your comforting nest..
Yes I am ready!! Enjoy every season but Autumn lingers in my heart and mind all through the year.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Tuesday Pick

It's been so hot here in PA I just want to hide in the AC. I send hubby to get me a frappee and he calls and says he has to go look at some wood and tools this guy wants to get rid of/I say well we don't really need wood or tools but go look.Well come to find out his grandparents owned a general store and it was antique printed boxes and barrels and such.So this is the pile hubby brought home. The guy says he has 2 more loads to bring down.He gave him a really fair price.Hubby said he has some really wonderful stuff but the guy wants to check to see if his dad wants any of it like the mercantile scales, large 12 gallon blue decorated crocks, counter jars and such...Now I'm going out to help hubs clean everything ...
I'm being good I'm only keeping the grey crock by the the milk box and this.....
I've been looking 2 years for a box like this that was in my price range so now I've finally got one ( Walker Baker Co with Lady).Eventually the right things find you.Everything else will go to market ...Well girls hope you all are staying cool.I'm dreaming of Fall (but I guess I'm always thinking of fall..smile..) Warm Blessings!~Amy

Swap goodies from Robin and Thank you to Lecia

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. Me I drove a hour to go to a auction that had the most wonderful prims. It was hot and they had no air conditioning but I patiently waited only to find out that in reality I know nothing about the market or some people just have more money than brains.LoL..After waiting for the first few pieces I told hubby I was ready to go.Really the one thing was a wood egg box which should have went for like $50 it went over $200. A picture like I've sold for $35 went for $2300 when the lady ask the man what was so special about it he said I don't know it's austria so it's good.Umm it was a common print not even a painting.See more money than brains..So we drove the scenic route home so I could see all the old stone houses and then had a cook out...Been kinda busy here but wanted to take the time to thank some sweet blogging friends... Lecia http://farmhouseprims.blogspot.com/ was having a giveaway I was lucky enough to win this wonderful bonnet.Lecia makes the best bonnets.I have probly 8 of them and have given a few as gifts.Lecia is a good friend and such a kind spirit.Stop over and visit her you won't be dissapointed...
Next up is Robin http://primitivehutch.blogspot.com/ we recently did the Farmhouse summer swap..Let me tell you she is always so fun to swap with..Got a giggle out of this...
She sent hubby his own bag of my favorite chocolate so he wouldn't eat mine..I didn't tell him she sent my own bag so he offered to share.LoL...Of course as you can see below my bag was already tested as I opened my gifts...
Vintage berry basket...uncle sam..towel and beeskep pad...Below charming light with rusty hive cover..handmade Farmers Market wood sign..Tarts..Pantry cake..Watermelon slice and address book..
Patriotic Americana Pinwheel...
Now wait there's more!!!! Oh I just adore this little doll and the stitchery..Looks just perfect displayed with the stars....
All such wonderful gifts from another sweet friend..Thank you so much Robin! I've got another Thank you to do for Theresa in the next day or two and more to share just don't want to make this post to long.Hope you have a great weekend.~Amy
