Prairie Bonnets and Weekend

Good monday! Well I had a fairly easy weekend.Yesterday went to Grandma's for our usual Sunday and Hubby finished up the outside decorating for me.I'll get pics tonight.Kept it simple this year.I've been shopping for prairie bonnets for awhile and boy are they hard to find in the styles I want.We do not have shops here to just go buy handdids it's mostly imports so I have to shop online alot...
I did find two to buy.I'm trying to get 3 to do a peg rack.I decided on the second one on the clothesline. It's blue with brown from Lecia her etsy is
http://www.etsy.com/shop/farmhouseprims if you want any of her bonnets and her blog is
http://farmhouseprims.blogspot.com if you just want to stop in and say hi. Let me tell you she is the sweetest person and helped me so much. She also has some sweet church dolls and ditty bags.I might buy the chocolate one from her as well but I'm looking a little more as I want just a drab tan one..I also found this one online I'm buying. Now I just need one more so if any of you have a good source let me know..Can't wait to get them I've been shopping about a month...

These arrived in the mail and it took me a little to know who they were from then I realized they were from Misi at http://1890gablehousemusings.blogspot.com they were her gift for picking my theme for display chain tuesday a few weeks ago. They remind me of The Grinch and Little Cindy Lou Who.. Since she sent two they will be perfect to put little elf treats in for the twins when the come for a stay over. Thanks Misi!
Well it's supposed to be cold and windy with a few snow showers all week so I'm going to start getting my cookie and dessert recipes together.I usually have a gathering a few days before christmas as a gift for for all the family and friends I can't afford to buy for.I always make good food and enjoy the visits and time spent,it's usually just a casual drop in thing.Christmas Day we go to Grandmas Farmhouse which is always hectic with all the family there so it's nice to be able to spend a little time before hand to enjoy the spirit of the season and company. We also usually go to my husbands sisters house after Grandmas but last year she canceled and this year she is having troubles so she will probly not have it.Hopefully she'll drop by for a visit with us,she said no gifts this year but I did get a little something for our niece Meg. I'm going out this week in search of Brianna's turtle.Mom said she's not sure if they are allowed to sell them anymore so panic mode set in since this is all Brianna talks about so if not I'll have to go with a chamileon or something.I never thought about them not having them since we had them as a child. We'll see.LoL..Don't forget the giveaway it's over in two days.Just click on the pic on the top sidebar.I'll be blog visiting today and catching up on all your happinings.Well hope you all have a wonderful day.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Hi Amy, I love bonnets too. They are on my want list. I will make mine, already have a couple patterns just no time. I also need the peg rack, which that will be harder to get than the bonnets cause hubby will be involved.8-)
Your friends and family gathering sounds fun. I love cooking for things like that.
Blessings,
Lorna

Such exciting plans you have coming up. I love the bonnet hanging from the chair . . . it's such a pretty shade of tan.

Hi Amy, I love your bonnets! I only have one, and I got mine from a gal on APP~ she goes by brelin4. I'd like to get a few more from her sometime. It has really snowed here, and I hear we are supposed to get a bunch more this week. I won't see any grass until May.
I hope you will have a good evening.

What a nice blog! I'm not sure where I even linked to you from. Doing a little 'blog hoppin'' tonight. :-)

May I ask where you got your blog background from? I don't see a tag anywhere that tells. Please don't tell me you made it yourself!
