Well it's getting close to christmas and I wanted to do a giveaway for my wonderful followers. You girls are the Best! There's no special reason for the giveaway just in the spirit of christmas my gift. If you're the lucky winner you'll get this prim Santa. He is 11.5 inches tall with wool beard and hand painted features...To enter you must be a follower of my blog new followers are always welcome...You must live in the USA shipping is so high...If you win you must contact me within 48 hours or the prize will be redrawn as I want the winner to be able to enjoy it...Now the entries
I'm a stronge believer that what you give in life is what will eventually come back.God has given me hardships but I never stop believing that my blessings will come and I've always pulled through and been blessed.Times are hard right now and most people can not afford to give to charity (me included) So what I want to know in the spirit of giving what little ways you give.I'm not talking the big stuff.I want to know the simple little gestures you have done or will do to just make that small differnce to someone.Do you send a soldier a care package, smile and say hello to a stranger,do you hold the door for the elderly lady and give her a few minutes to chat and feel special, do you donate a few bags of kitty litter or dog food to a shelter, do you read or explain the true meaning of christmas to a child. All these little gestures change the world slowly it may not seem to impact but a kind gesture gives people hope.So on the comment I want to know yours.I'll be drawing the santa randomly but I'm going to pick 5 of your ideas that I can do during this holiday season and put them in a seperate drawing for a little goodie haven't decided what it will be yet.For a second chance you can put a link on your blog to the contest. You can take the top picture for your side bar and and the link from the search box. Please leave a seperate comment for posting. So you have 3 chances to enter.Winner will be drawn Dec 7. Thanks so much to all my wonderful followers and friends.Warmest Blessings!~Amy

What a sweet gesture Amy. Your santa is precious and I would love a chance to win him. This Christmas I made gift boxes for Elementary and Middle School children living in the Inner City that will not get anything for Christmas. I try to make these boxes extra special because no child should be left out at Christmas Time. This is my way of doing what I can to help the less fortunate.
Have a wonderful week,
AMY

Hi I am a new follower just love the santa he is so cute. This year I have made a few candle jars to give to some of the elderly people who live close to me and don't have family for Christmas. I always all year long try to give people in general a little of my time and make them feel like someone cares about their troubles. I think we should all slow down long enough to listen to what our fellow humans have to say you can learn alot from a stranger. We really need to take time for the elderly they took time for us when we where young.

I will post this on my side bar.

We always take a box of groceries to the food pantry. In this land of plenty, there are many-too many-people who cannot fix a holiday dinner. So we pack up as much of the necessities and some extras to try to make someone's dinner a celebration like we enjoy.
WalMart always has an angel tree and we like to take some of the grandkids and let them pick a name and the gift for that child. It is our way of making sure that compassion is passed on to the next generation.

Amy, I love your Santa would love to be entered in this giveaway.

So here are a few things I have done just recently. My neigbhors took up donations for a girl from their church ill with Lekumia, they wanted to get her a IPAD, since she is not able to go home. Of course we helped best we could with this.
I try to never pass up the salvation army bell ringers, even if it's only the coin in my purse.
Just recently my mom passed away I felt very strongly the money given to the family should be donated. Half will go to the local animal shelter were we rescued our dog and half to chemo angels who help children ill with cancer.
I am a firm believer in paying it forward! Have a wonderful Holiday! OLM

That is a very nice thing for you to do! Please enter me in your giveaway! And you are right~ times are tough, BUT we can STILL give the best gift of all~ our time, and sharing the love of JESUS with others! Amen to everything you said!
I help so many people every day, but I help an elderly neighbor that is alone here with outdoor chores that are hard for her, my son shovels her driveway in the winter. I help with gardening things, and take meals over to her.
We also give to Habitat for Humanity, and Coats for Kids, and Toys for Tots. All are good organizations, and I am very saavy with my purchases, and then I take and drop them off.
We also give to a local food shelf, and the boy scout troop that comes through a few times throughout the year, they collect food as well. I am a FIRM believer that it is truly better to give than to receive! We are not rich, but God supplies our needs and that is all that counts!
God bless!

Santa is so darling-I would love to own him! In trying to give back because our family is so blessed we contribute to the "Hat and Mitten" tree at our church. We collect mittens and hats for children and adults who have none to keep them warm. Our food pantry in our town always needs donations of food and my husband & I enjoy filling a shopping cart for that. We like to contribute to Operation Christmas Child each fall. Our blessings are abundant and we try to help where it is needed.

My Mom, my sister and I like to put together jigsaw puzzles. After we've finished putting them together, we put it back in the box and tape it shut so we know none of the pieces can fall out. We then save them for Christmas time and we take them to our local nursing home.
They really enjoy putting them together again. It gives them something to do on their long lonely days.

Happy Holidays!

What an awesome Santa, please enter me in your giveaway!!! I will post your giveaway to my sidebar.
I love to give baked gifts to folks that I know doesn't get them.
Our church helps a needy family.
And I love to give a donation to the salvation army.
I know years ago my husband worked in the coal mines of WV, he had gotten laid off of work and we had 2 babies. We were at rock bottom.
He went to the Salvation Army and got toys for the babies. And they gave us a turkey and food for a lovely meal. I had toooo much pride and I was embarrassed to go.
When I hear the bells ringing and see those red kettles, I usually drop in something, because I rem. the year they helped us.
And I know that they will help someone who needs help this year.
Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!

Hi Amy,
First off THANK YOU!!!! What an awesome giveaway and what a great heart you have. I too, love paying it forward! It TRULY IS BETTER TO GIVE than to receive.
Last week there was an Army Soldier filling up his truck heading home for Christmas and we paid for his gas and thanked him for his service to our great country. He was shocked and tried to pay us back....We just smiled, got into the car and said to him, "Happy Holidays Son, it's the least we could do"
It was soooo much fun....still gives me goosebumps!!!!
Thanks again for the giveaway...my you be blessed many times over!!!
Love and Hugs and a New Follower,
Amy (Mom to the Four Sisters)
