Just Not Right ~ A White Halloween

Hmmmm....Just not right is it? Snow and Halloween just don't match.Should be crunchy leaves underfoot and a spooky chill in the air.Ours looked more like those crazy people who are to lazy to take down the decorations till Christmas..LoL..We ended up with about 8 inches here in the end.The last time it snowed in October was before I was born..It set a new record for the most snowfall in our area this soon. Wonder if it's a sign of a harsh winter.I hope so.Love lots of snow just not this soon.Plus keeps hubby busy out snowblowing so I can have time to myself snuggled inside.. My poor weeping cherry did survive I was worried...

Trick or Treat? I'd say trick..Our front walk.

Early in the snow.....Luckily we had it cleaned up before trick or treat. So the lil goblins could have their fun...

Eeeekkk! Being invaded by Nieces and nephews....Jayson (cowboy) is still at the lovey age so I can still get a smooch and hug...

Brianna nibbling on chips...

My lil Hannah Honeybunch...Growing so fast...

Hmmm goody bags woner who gets those treats?

My oldest nephew coby.Nice to have him around a little more..

My sister Melissa always takes the girls and her son Jayson trick or treating and brings them to visit for awhile.Well this year my evil sister came too.It was hard having her in my house so far I have been able to handle seeing her at grandma's and when the girls had their birthday, but having her in my home was very hard.I concentrated on the kids and Melissa.I hope I can get better about being around her before the holidays because the anxiety it causes seeing her is hard.I've tried forgiving her but my heart just can't let go yet especially since I think she will not ever change.Other than that was a wonderful Halloween.Hannah was Fancy Nancy which is a tea party theme so darn cute plus now I know she'll love her christmas present I got her the DS game, and will make her some sugar cookies with pink frosting and some strawberry tea mix.Brianna was Rapunzel which surprised me since she said she was to big for princesses.Hope you all are having a wonderful week!~Amy

Hi Amy,
Well, I see you have survived your big snow. We didn't get any, and I was anxiously waiting for it. The little ones looked so adorable. It was a great day for the EVIL one to show up, since it was Halloween. Hope you have a most wonderful day.
hugs,
Linda

Your family has such beautiful children!! They all looked so cute and happy! We, too, had snow on halloween..... very strange for sure!! I am wondering what, if anything, that means for the rest of the winter...... Guess we'll have to wait and see!! Have a happy day.....

There's one in every family, isn't there?
Just be the better person and tolerate her presence. You do not have to respect her or anything she does and you aren't doing it for her. You are doing it for the family members that do care. I know firsthand how this goes......
And we really do Halloween for the little goblins, don't we? Yours are adorable! Sweet, innocent little faces full of sugary joy! We sure were happy to see our grands!
I don't mind snow, but not thrilled by ice or sleet. We could get a lot or a little. it's all good. Just another part of the cycle. I hope we get enough to bring our ponds and lakes back up to full!

The kids look so cute in their costumes. Too bad they needed snow boots ~ we had to chop ice off our steps before the trick or treating began.

My granddaughter LOVES Fancy Nancy too ~ now she's wearing a beret so she can feel French ~ gotta' love little girls :)

What's Halloween without a witch? Sorry she landed at your house.... ;o) Love seeing the pictures of the kiddies in their costumes...My great nieces/nephews came on Sunday (since they wanted to get the "out of the way" places "out of the way" before T or T last night. We only had 4 last night - oh well - it was 4 more than last year! (And, hey - we didn't have snow....that's just WRONG!!) Happy November! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Looks like a fun Halloween despite all that snow, wow! I had to laugh at your comment on how it looked like those crazy people who are to lazy to take down their decorations, that is too funny! It does seem weird to see snow in Oct. but glad the kids were still able to get out for T or T. Oh my, how sad that would have been!

Kids look adorable and they can have fun in any weather as long as there's treats! We had an "October Surprise" a few yrs back, horrible mess, sorry you got it this time. :o(
As for evil sis... we can't pick our relatives, eh? Have a brother that's 'challenging'. But in Ephesians 4, God tells us to forgive, even if they don't, to not hold on to bitterness and hurt -- so YOU can move on sweetie. Never give up! :o) Blessings

I have a SIL that laid into me last year, I don't think she has said 5 words to me in 11 months since and with the holidays coming up I am so nervous about what to do, avoid or stand tall. The worst part is that I am probally more bothered by it all than she is, plus I feel bad for my MIL. Debbie is right, we are to forgive but that feeling of having to be on guard is still there. I will pray for you to have peace inyour heart with the situation...pray for me to have the same!
We all love you!

Hey Amy, don't the little 'uns look wonderful! Love looking at the pics of them all dressed up for Halloween.

Haven't you had some snow and so early on too, I sure hope its not a sign of things to come! The news over here reported on the freak snow fall in America, I couldn't believe it!

Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs
