Some Sunshine

Well the storm is passing should be cleared out by 7 pm this evening. We lost power once so far.Mainly heavy rain and wind. Now just wind. The news builds everything up to a frenzy anymore it seems it's hard to know when to really worry so I'm always slightly prepared and don't worry much.I told hubby I've never heard of being on a hurricane emergency alert in PA and in reality we've had thunderstorms that were worse. So today we are taking a lazy sunday around the house.Rare for us.....My sunflower garden hubby planted is popping open everyday now.Thought I'd share a little sunshine with you...smile...

All differnt varieties...tall..short..single stems..branching stems...Some from special blog friends.... Love this one reminds me fall is on the way...

My little Raggedy Girlfriend sent me a little sunshine too.Just Bee cause she loves me..smile...The whole mailbox smelled of sunshine when I opened it from the citrus fixens.Always wonderful when someone lets you know you're thought of...

Well girls I have lots to post this week but today I'm just going to enjoy the pleasure of a stay in your PJ's day..Visit some blogs, read some prim mags, watch tv, light some candles and listen to the wind..Sweet hubby even bought me breakfast in bed (the street sign hitting the side of our house at 3:30 am woke him)..Sticking a roast in the oven so nothing to worry with, just what I needed.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Amy, So glad to hear you are okay and the storm wasn't any worse for you. Hoping you don't loose power again. Love the sunflowers, such pretty colors. Ours have long been gone already. Cute bees. Had them on my list to make all summer but busy creating for my show this coming weekend, never got around to it. Oh Girl, your day sounds like a perfect one for me. . Enjoy! I am off to services and then home to tie up loose ends for the show. Take care.

Hi there, so glad you are all ok. Your sunflowers are wonderful, I have seeds waiting for it to be a bit cooler, our season is a bit behind everyone else due to our extreme heat this year. Sounds like you will have a great day :)

Except for the wind, it sounds like an absolutely heavenly kind of day - enjoy!! So glad it turned out that Irene was less severe for you than predicted - I was thinking of you and worrying....And she even spared your gorgeous sunflowers! Lucky you - those are usually the first to go for me, so I've all but given up - unless the birds and chippers are kind enough to plant some for me. (They must have forgotten this year, tho...) :o Fun goodies from Miss Angie - she is such a dear heart! Won't keep you any longer - Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

We're waiting out the storm in our jammies too. We have 45 mph winds and lots of flooding with roads closed.

Those sunflowers are so pretty. The different varieties grouped together has such a charming country look.

That Angie is super sweet, isn't she? Like the Energizer bunny. lol
Sorry you are under storm watch but glad to hear I'm not the only gal in her jammies today!
My sunflowers are all eaten up by the finches and cardinals. Some of them may bloom again but the biggest portion of them are covered by birdhouse gourd vines! And there are alot of gourds out there, too. The only produce out there are tomatoes and an occasional pepper, so it's basically a weed patch. I really made a big mistake not planting my zinnias this year. Next year, zinnias!
Looks like you have been enjoying some great swaps. I am loving all your goodies!
Relax and enjoy your quiet Sunday!
Big Hugs, ★Linda★

Glad to hear you escaped the worst of the hurricane. I sure wanted to get some rain out of that system here in southern Alabama...but we did not. We are experiencing an awful drought!
Your sunflowers are beautiful...Enjoy your day!
