Some Catching Up

Well Christmas has come and gone.I'm never quite prepared for the arrival the last few years. It was spent at Grandma's old farmhouse cluttered with family but cozy being surrounded by the ones you love. News Years resolutions and goals have been set mostly the same every year but this year I'm going to really make the efforts..smile... Everyone picks a word nowadays so mine I've decided will be "Let Go" which is very hard for me.I hold on to things and have a hard time with forgiveness. I'm the type of person who always does the right thing and I expect others to as well, but I've come to realize that others aren't me and aren't giving a second thought to what they've done.I need to learn to let go of the anger and hurt and move on. It really hurts no one but yourself. I won't let people continue to cause conflict or Drama though I'm just going to move on and not let them intrude on my happiness. Anyhow I'm making really good strides on this already with one person... I'm a baby steps person so little by little.....
So before Christmas Misi  and I exchanged gifts. I am so lucky to have such a sweet friend. She truly is a thoughtful and giving person. All wrapped so beautifully but I forgot to take pics but it was made so special... Everything smelled of cinnamon and pine..I received not 1 but 2 of her beautiful handcrafted boxes!!!! This beautiful dome one will stay out all year. You'll see it when I show my Valentines decorating....
These Georges will be wonderful for a small summer feather tree or patriotic banner....
Love everything!! Big Hugs sweet friend!!!   I always love this time of year. Some time to nest and just enjoy the simple things...Read, Dream, Cook,Bake and enjoy the little things we are normally to busy for...Thank You to all the girls who sent prayers and well wishes for Dad. He is still in the hospital but out of critical care. His low  blood pressure has been stabilized and now he is fighting the pneumonia  it takes a little more for his body since the cancer but he will be Ok.. Looking forward to tomorrow my first yard sale of the year. It's in a fire hall thankfully because it has been freezing. Well friends hope you are staying cozy! Warm Blessings!~Amy

Stopping in to say Hi!

Hi Girls! Thanks for all your emails.Life sometimes just gets in the way.My Dad has been in critical care. They say he is stable now and will be moving him to another room today.Extra frustrating because of the crazy woman he married and believe me I have tried so hard to make the best of her because for me Dad's happiness is number one. It's not just me several other members of his family have called me worried. Anyhoo I don't normally tread lightly but with her I bite my tongue alot  so I don't put any more distance between my dad and I.We have always been close as I'm his only child.. Day by day...smile... We have been freezing and icy here.It was a mild winter up till this month. No big resolutions started here.I have a few things I'm working on but some of those have been in the works for awhile so can't really call them a resolution.Well girls I just wanted to stop in and say Hi! I know a few of you were wondering. To my swap girls I haven't had time to get The Humble Heart swap organized so I won't have this months swap. I will do our Spring swap early and get it listed the first week of February. Hope everyone is staying cozy! Warm Blessings!~Amy
