Well as most of you know I spend my summer and fall looking for treasures. As a dealer I need to restock each week and like to be the person with the "good stuff" at resonable prices.I have regular shops I "pick" for.I don't make a ton of money doing this but it gives me the pleasure of not having to answer to a boss.I was in sales with 3 major companies for years with each and with the economy and things going over seas my departments were elemenated so I would rather just work for myself.I also owned a shop for a time but find I don't like the overhead involved it cost alot to run a shop, so fleamarket and online is the route I choose...Anyhow I try to go every Thursday,Friday and Saturday when the season is in..Sundays is our market day and hubby usually sells so I can go look or they have church service sometimes I go to that...So here are a couple of the goodies I found today.....The lady I bought this from gave me a long lecture on sauerkraut making.Of course I won't use it for that but politeness pays off when you want to negotiate..smile...Keeping this the blue decorated ones like this go for around $350 in our area I got mine under $100....After this had to go to hubbies job and ask for some more money but couldn't pass it up....It's 5 gallons bigger than it looks...
Old Basket..Misi said these were down baskets to hold feathers..Not sure if I will keep...
Herb Chopper..not sure on this yet either might keep..
Victorian Tea Tin with wood knob handle will go to etsy....
Old Hat Form will go to etsy....
Reciept holder going etsy
Victorian childs pencil case selling either etsy or market...
Yellow ware bowls going to fleamarket..They are not perfect but if you were 100 you'd have character too...
Butter and apple butter paddles going to fleamarket...
I also got a old tin store spice bin, whisk brooms, more bowls, some kitschy stuff, tobacco tins and some other things I didn't drag in from the jeep yet.I'll be going to a differnt area tomorrow. Then saturday I need to get my plot planted at grandma's farmhouse.Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!~Amy

Love your goodies you found, the crock is really nice. I just love the thrill of the hunt, I end up keeping half of it. LOL Thanks for sharing your finds. Vicky
You find the greatest treasures, I swear! That crock is TDF!! Let me know if you decide to part with it!! ;o) Loving the basket and the chopper too. Your job sounds like a dream job....except not for me. I truly wouldn't be able to part with anything I bought....Thanks for sharing your finds with us. The pickins' around here are very, very, slim - and definitely no market days - ever. So, I enjoy the shopping vicariously! Have a wonderful day! Smiles & Hugs, Robin

Love your crock and all the other goodies too. My hometown, Phelps, NY is the sauerkraut capital of the world - at least that is it's claim to fame...each year we have a sauerkraut festival, complete with carnival, parade and fireworks! I've never made the stuff though someday I would like to try!
Hi Amy~

Amy!!! WOW!! Love the crock, but the basket is sooo cool!
I agree, if you can be your own boss, nothing beats it. I have been blessed to be able to stay home and do what I do... Not really making any money, don't tell hubby! LOL... But it supports my habit at least!? OLM
Looks like you had a great day. Such treasures. It would be so hard for me to part with any of them. Love the crock and the basket. Wishing you luck tomorrow also. Have a great weekend.
Those are wonderful finds Amy! Don't you just love hunting for treasures. We just got back from a buying trip ourselves and I posted a few pics. If you ever decide to sell that feather basket, let me know, as I always wanted one of those. My grandmother kept one and used it gathering the down feathers from the geese for her feahter pillows and coverlets. They kept us warm in the old farmhouse in the Winter months. Take care, Janice
Hi Amy... Once again, I'm drooling, gotta go change my shirt, LOL... Great finds!
I had a shop too, but agree that the overhead 'bout kills ya. So glad you can do what you love...
Have a Blessed Memorial Day Weekend,
Traci
