First Fleamarket Finds For the Year

Although still chilly over the weekend we managed to have temps in the 50's sunshine and fairly nice mornings.I needed to junk and knew vendors would be stir crazy too and be out this weekend. So saturday we went to the small fleamarket and sunday we went to the big fleamarket were we set up in the summer.Hubby is already in the mood to set up and wants to go next week if it's nice I think it's pushing it.We'll see....We did find some goodies.... Hubby finally has his big spinning wheel..We are getting ready to paint so I'm waiting till after it's done to rearrange things...Below Large Hay Rake I've never seen one like this..Antique boot jack(we're gonna sell it)..
Better pic of the rake any info on it would be nice...close up of the boot jack (if interested you could email me for a price) And old bucket for me it's signed on the bottom and from Maine good find but I really don't need more buckets..LoL...
Some old books..Love the lithos in the childs one...The Perfect Woman will go in my etsy...
Old club hubby bought he says it's his Fred Flinstone club,it's heavy hand carved. Not sure it's purpose thought maybe to club small game or a make do baseball bat.One of a kind to say the least. Firkin and old photo album full of pictures.I forgot to get a pic of my favorite find a old Ledger/Journal from the 1920's it has meticolus records and is so interesting to read like Shucked corn for joseph 20 cents per hour...Sturdy double coveralls 80 cents...So many neat entries....

Hubby bought some old wood tool boxes.I bought some kitsch for etsy, some old apothecary bottles, some victorian and a few other things for my fleamarket stand. Then sunday afternoon was spent leisurly at grandma's farm enjoying dinner and family.A perfect weekend but now I'm soooo ready for spring to come and stay.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Great finds! I love them all! We just call the rakes "hay rakes", there are a lot up here in Maine(I have one hanging in the corner of my mudroom, love it). Does the bucket have a town in Maine? Interested in selling it?

Auction season starts here for us this Saturday. Oh, there are various auctions all year long but real estate doesn't feed my need! Our favorite auctioneers have a double header Saturday and we are chomping at the bit to see what they have to offer. Warmer weather would be a great starting point!
Have a great week.
Love all your finds--NEVER see spinning wheels around here! I'm hoping to find a treadle Singer this year!

I love all your finds. Amazing. I went on my first treasure hunt for this stuff last weekend and I had so much fun. I think I might be a little addicted already.

Love your finds! Sounds like a productive weekend! I love the spinning wheel. We have a large one in our house that belonged to my great, great grandmother. It was made right after the Civil War by her husband. It went to the barn after her death and remained there until the 1940's when my grandmother dug it out of a loft and reassembled it. From there, it went to my parents' house, and now to mine. It's quite a treasure. It so large and it can be a challenge to find a place to display it, but it's a beautiful piece and still has the original finish. I'm a lucky girl to have it.

We're dreaming of spring, too! Dull and gray here today, but hopefully some sunshine will peak through those clouds before long!

Best wishes,
Paula

What fun, and wonderful goodies!!! I can hardly wait for the antique shows to start here...we have two that are an hours drive away, and my daughter and I are just Itching to go!! I am cleaning out my house now, so I can add more "junk"....even haunt the Goodwill a couple times a week...going back today to get these big round light globes I saw, in a garden magazine... they used them for gazing balls in their gardens....cute idea!
