Let it Snow!

Oh my! I'm so excited it's finally snowing a real snow the first one since our freak storm in October.I was wondering if old man Winter was going to make a appearance this season..smile..About 4 inches so far this afternoon supposed to get ice though.Ok by me I am all snuggled in for a PJ day...
Hubby is out snow blowing while our peeper neighbor watches from his kitchen window.LoL.Hubby put a mannequin in the window we switched and opened the blind the other night so it looked like someone was watching his house. When we went out the next day his blind was closed. But back to watching us coming and going or like now when hubby is working outside...
Me I'm going to just take a lazy PJ day.Make a warm cuppa ....
Ok it'll really look like this...Yummmmmm...
Have some yummy candles lighted.and tarts melting.Scents of Maple syrup, gingerbread and fireplace wafting in the air...So Welcoming...Yes come out of the cold....
The dogs are already snug as little bugs...Got news for them though I'm taking that big chair to settle in and watch movies and read..Maybe I'll share.Mung my little fat boy can be pretty persistant with what he wants and he usually wants to be snuggled with momma..Mailman just dropped off my Romantic Prairie Style book and a new southern cookbook so some good reading for later...
Hubby is making a BBQ pork roast in the rotisserie for dinner.Yes such a wonderful Day to be snow in.Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Love those snuggle dogs! We're getting snow today too. My husband drove me to the Post Office so I could send out some yarn to a customer and a couple other packages which needed to go out...now, we're happily cozy in our little cape, fire in the fireplace and chili for dinner later today. I'm spinning wool and blogging...nice way to spend the day!

Courtney

Hi Amy! I had to chuckle when I read about the mannequin your husband put in the window! Sounds like something we would do here!!

We are having our first snow, too, since the storm in Oct. It is so peaceful to be able to sit inside and watch it fall.... I plan to stay inside and do some stitching on a Valentine cross-stitch. Would love to have a fire in the fireplace, but seeing as I am going through the "warm" years of life, a fire is too much for me. I'll probably have the fan going before too long!! I tell my family to bundle up -- when I get one of those flashes, I need my fan!!
Enjoy your day -- it sounds wonderful......

A storybook day over a your house.
That's so funny about the mannequin.
You made me crack up. It's snowing here, too. Got a good bit of it.
It's pretty when you don't have to
go out in it!

I do have to admit that I was just fine with winter being on back order. If it wasn't here for Christmas it could have just stayed away. But if I am going to complain about it I need to move somewhere else where there isn't snow so...whatever.
The good thing about a persistantly snuggly dog is that they are warm which can be a good thing. I am thinking CJ needs to snuggle my footsies right now!
Got my swap box mailed yesterday like a good little bee.

Sounds like a perfect day! We have had pouring rain here in Northern California all week. Today the sun came out for a peak, and I went out and bought myself some flowers. A perfect pick-me-up for a dreary day. Hope you get to enjoy that chair, (cuddling is always better). Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings ~Sara

By now Amy you are hopefully snuggling those sweet pups in "your" chair enjoying your cuppa! It is a lazy around here too. Had to go into town this am and check on my MIL then headed back home to our warm cozy house. Hubby is enjoying a little nap after his lunch, I'm catching up here on the blogs then working on some hand sewing for a bit while watching a movie.
Rain, rain and more rain for us Idahoan's! At least here in the valley-the mountains are catching all the white stuff ;-)
Enjoy your day~
hugz,
Sheila

Amy, enjoy your day. Here in SC, I decided to go back to The Depot shopping (about 50 miles from hotel). Hubby called and said where he was working there was a tornado warning for me to be careful. I drove in blinding rain all the way back in. Muggy, and so stormy here. Sure would love to be cuddled in your cozy home with all the wonderful scents going. Hey, and I would stare out the window at your neighbor for you. He is too funny. I know it has to bother you being watched, but its funny. Take care, stay warm, and happy reading!!

Your day sounds absolutely amazing. I am so glad to be reading how so many fellow bloggers spend the day in their jammies, lol. I feel so much more accomplished knowing I'm not alone. In fact...I worked last night..so slept a good 8 hours. Now I ordered a sandwich and thinking...I'm sure delivery guys have seen much worse than a woman in her jammies at 7 pm, lol!! He better not be cute!!!! Katie

Hi Amy, sounds like you made the most of a snow day! We had a dusting of snow Thursday night but nothing to be excited about...although I was. I really want some snow, we've had next to nothing this season. Now watch us get socked in February! Enjoy the rest of your snowy weekend.

Sounds like a wonderful, cozy day. My son in Michigan said they had a blizzard there, but no cancellations at his college, so he wasn't enjoying the snow too much! Hope the doggies made room for you. Sounds like my cat! ~Roberta

I will take snow over a tornado watch any ole day! We had 4 inches of the white stuff on Saturday here in Michigan and now it is going to rain Monday and will be in the high 40's, so it will all melt away. Such a strange winter we are having here. Take care, Janice

Amy,
I forgot to ask you where is the pic of the stone building from? It's beautiful, reminds me of the stones on The Stone House. I miss it there...4 more weeks 'til I get to go back there : (.

Aw, I want some snow!! We've barely had a covering one time all winter long. That's unusual for us.

I was laughing out loud about your neighbor and the mannequin, that is way too funny!!

I enjoy lazy pj days way too much and have them often. =] Oh Amy, those scents sound so wonderful and just perfect for a lazy winter day. Your doggies definitely have the right idea, hehe!

Stay warm~
