Help Needed

Hi girls! As most of you know my dad is going through cancer right now.Well some situations have came up with his benefits and insurance and it has caused a problem for us.I have exhausted my extra finaces already. We need to come up with some money quickly till it can work out hopefully at the new year.So what I'm hoping is that you can just take a peek at my Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/cottageprims and see if anything interest you.I don't have alot of prim listed but plan on getting some more on this afternoon and saturday.I'll be going through some of my personal stuff too.I don't really know what else to do.I have tried calling a few agencies but with the holidays not much help out there.I know we are all busy with the holidays and such.I just wanted to put the word out and ask you take a peek if you get a chance..My regular followers know I have never asked for anything.I fell akward even posting this but thought it might help...

There is a coupon code as well CYBER to take 10% off any order.Orders will not be there in time for christmas but shortly after. You can also add primitive in my shop search box to bring up less items.

Prayers appreciated too.Again don't feel any obligations.I'll be removing this post in the next day or so.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Dear Amy, you will continue to be in my prayers. Unfortunately I'm hearing this more and more it situations like your dads. Why getting the necessary benefits has to be so difficult is beyond me, as if the illness isn't taking it's toll already.
This is the time when friends band together to help one another, in every possible way.
sending hugz and prayers.

Everything is black and white for those who just do the numbers. I am so sorry that you have to share this portion of the process. I will say a prayer for those to whom your Dad is just a case number. Try, during these difficult times, to remember that God won't give you more than you can handle ( though I doubt even He has time to straighten out the mess our medical system is in ). *sigh* Words are just empty in times like these. I apologize for being so cliche. I will continue to offer my prayers for your Dad. And you can add my Dad to yours. He had a mini-stroke last Sunday and the doctor says it was just a warning. There is nothing further they can do for him. He is 83 and has a 75% blocked carotid artery. Surgery is too dangerous and he is already taking all the medication he can. The doctor took his drivers license away, which is the only sane thing to do. Doctor says to keep an eye on him; that these small strokes are precursors to the big, debilitating one. Please include my Dad in your prayers...

If you can get your Dad on Medicaid, it will go back 1-3 months, I think and pay hospital bills, etc...Maybe he will qualify for it...I hope he does.

Amy, My heart goes out to you, I know what you are going through. When my father had his cancer, well my parents didn't have any money, they lost alot, had to sell his shop, still not enough and my father had already took out another mortagage on the house, which now takes half my mothers social secruity check every month and of course we were having to help. I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. I will go over and check out your goodies. Hugs Vicky

contact the american cancer society in your area they should be able to help. We have just been though this there is gas cards, free lodging and help with meds also. the social worker in the drs office could help you or the one at the hospital. This money is raised for this purpose. There is no need to feel bad about it.
I hope this helps.

Oh Amy,
Big hugs to you! I will check it out! They messed up my pay date for my disability checks to arrive. I wish the people that did these jobs would relaize what they do the person and their families when they mess up. Could they wait from the 7th of the month to the 21 of the month for their money?? I pray things will get better for you and I will shop when my check arrives WEd. I am sorry I can't do more. Big hugs,
Lynn
