Back to Hum Drum

Well the holidays are done and we can all take a much needed deep breath and relax...New Years we spent at home had a nice dinner and watched movies.Friday I took all the Christmas stuff down and cleaned a little. It felt fresh with all the holiday stuff put away.I did get out my Valentine stuff though.Hubby rolled his eyes and said I hope your not putting that heart on the door on New Years Eve. I got my way of course and hung it.LoL.. I don't have much Valentine decor so it's mainly just a few little touches.I feel excited with the New Year I don't know why for me it always feels like a new begining full of promises.I thought hard about it and decided to set a few goals but no resolutions other than simplify and enjoy life and relationships.Haven't figured out my goals yet....Today's Goal is to finish up Renee's goodie box and get it mailed off to her.I signed up for several swaps so I'll be working on them for the next two weeks.Got alot of ideas and some things already started.I haven't got two of my partners yet so I'll wait for that to get finishing touches done..Well a couple of weeks ago I won a giveaway from Tammy at
http://bythyhandstinkerings.blogspot.com/ She was so generous she was supposed to send the little snowman but sent me the snowgirl as well.. I recived them thursday and decided they definatly needed to be displayed so they got a few valentine accents.I love them, they are just wonderful and you can't imagine how excited I was to be the lucky person to win them......
I'm getting a few new followers and when I hit 150 I'll be hosting another giveaway.Just 19 more to go! I'm already thinking of the prize.Like I said the new year has made me feel like a fresh start so my creativity and ideas are flowing.(smile) When I started blogging I never imagined the friendships I would make or how inspiring it would be.I certainly never thought so many wonderful kindred people would find interest in my life and home. For that I feel so blessed and thankful! You girls are the best! Today we are supposed to visit a friend once hubby gets home from work.I'm hoping to get some pics of a few things along the way if it's not dark on the way home.Hope you all are getting a little rest now that the hustle and bustle is done.Warmest Wishes!~Amy

Amy, your snow couple are adorable! I am gathering things together to get mailed out this week.
I have a few other things to mail as well. My van has to get fixed, we found out it's a broken spring where the shock is at.
It seems to always happen at most inopportune times!
I'll be mailing things out by Saturday, my next time off.
Have a good week!
Blessings,
Renee

I had to grin at your husband's response to the Valentine decor! Sounds like mine...except I really don't have any Valentine decor so he lucks out this short period of time! :)

I just added one more to your follower....hope you make your goal soon!

Thank you for your visits to my blog and your sweet comments! I appreciate each one! :)

Have a great evening!
