The farmhouse summer swap went wonderful so I'm hosting a new swap.I wanted to give you plenty of time to gather goodes so I'll accept sign ups till monday (may 23rd)..So our theme is Seasons of Friendship. This one I want each person to get to know your partner a little and share your favorite season Spring, Summer.Fall or Winter .....

You will be required to include a item that matches your partners season. So yes you may be sending a snowman in the summer...smile..Your swap must consist of 3 items(yes you can send extras) but only the one has to be seasonal..The other 2 items can be anything you want to send...The other requirment is one of your items must be stitched by this I mean a prim doll, bowl fillers, table mat or similiar..It does not have to be stitched by you,but has to be included...You can purchase your items or handmake them but they must be something you would want to recive. By this I mean I only want people to sign up who really want to enjoy giving as well as recieving. No dollar store stuff!!! I'm going to say your package must be at least a $25 value but it's so hard to put a value when people are doing handids so let's just say send a package you'd enjoy reciving...I want this to be fun for both parties and want everyone to recive a nice gift and friendship.....

To sign up you must be a follower of my blog...I must know you to some extent this means you comment or have participated in a past swap I held...If I do not know you and you want to join in you must have a blog I can check out.Again I just don't want any dissapointments..I do encourage new bloggers to sign up and will help you anyway I can..So sign ups are open till May 23rd.You must mail out your package by June 25 with confirmation..I'll give you your partners info around the May 25th so that gives you a month to gather goodes. It will not be a secret swap so get to know your partner make it fun and start a new friendship!

I just want to say you all really wowed me with your displays this week. It's been odd weather here and rain for weeks so all the pretty blooms and birds really brightened my day! Ok a funny story here I give each person a number for the prize drawing then go to random.org to pick it.Well sweet Lorna emailed me quick and didn't want into the draw since she has scent allergies so I had to post one yesterday for someone and I know I hate being #1 so I put her in Lorna's spot well that was my winner..smile..Odd how things go sometimes...So Traci http://yorkmountainprimitives.blogspot.com/ is our winner and let me say her pics were beautiful! Traci email your address to me when you get a chance....Ok so next weeks theme will be Yesterday's Child but as usuall I like you to be creative with it so don't just think old toys( Love them) Think outside a little..Do you have the old yellow ware bowl you and grandma made cookies in? Your childs favorite blanket? The sled you went sledding down the biggest hill as a child? A favorite old teddy? Or do you just like to collect? Old tea sets and dishes, high button shoes, old photos, cracker jack prizes, old dime store bisque dogs, colonial children prints whatever envokes a memory of childhood or you collect to do with children. Here's some inspiration pics to get you thinking.....

Daydreaming on the Porch

Everyone dreams of a little respite on a lazy summer day or a little sunshine streaming in during a long winter.Lucky for me I have a sun porch with big windows to let gentle breezes cool you in the summer and a warm heater for cool fall mornings. I always daydream about this area but normally it's piled with things I bring home.I clean it out but it gets filled fast.My goal this summer is to get it perfect.Pick up things while at fleamarket and sales.I've got some wonderful things already.I also don't want it prim or colonial..I'm looking for cozy farmhouse, french cottage not too cluttered a place for pure relaxing..Here are my inspirations and dreambook....
Love the window shelf, wide board floors and chippy whites....This is one of my favorites and I have most of the decorating things shown already....

Simple and comfortable....

Love the airy feeling of this one would be bright and cozy year round..simple and organized with the cubby basket shelf...

Here are a few elements that inspire me...Comfy chair to read away a afternoon..Blanket to curl up in on a chilly morning..Loving the whites and reds together with some chippy and wood....

Big soft throw pillows and of course I love bees....

Rustic garden elements like child's wheelbarrels (got this type thing ready and waiting)

Of course I need a small space for some light refreshments and gossip with a friend....

Got plenty of these..Yes liking the garden french farmhouse style..Is that a style?

I say style is whatever you love but that's a differnt post entirely..smile...Would love to hear your idea's the room is long and medium wide big enough to fit stuff but I don't want alot of fuss and clutter just want it relaxing..I got a good jump on "stuff" to decorate it.Also if you know of any good sources for the feed sack pillows at resonable prices not the burlap though I don't want to be itchy..giggle..Also looking for a good source for curtains and indoor/outdoor large throw rugs.Hope you enjoyed daydreaming on the porch with me.Your welcome to come for a visit when it's done..smile..
