Good morning girls! Well seems like my blogging here lately is always doing a catch up post. Can't wait till Fall when things will slow down a bit...Wanted to share my "keeping" Finds with you.Above are the sweet high button shoes. They are my first brown pair and in really good shape for the age...sweet...Below is a old flax wheel.Early and signed..
Never saw one with the hand carved gear.Still haven't figured out quit how it works but in reality I'm not going to use it so it doesn't matter...
Antique Dough/Noodle board...For about a year I debated buying a new one because I thought it be in the way. When I found this old one I couldn't resist. Now I'm going to get a new one as well....
I'd like to stain it but think I will opt to oil it as I will be using this one on occasion. It fits perfect on the butcher block...
I've been doing 3 markets a week so still running every day.Yesterday I was so thankful for a rain day.Took a PJ day..smile...I really needed it.I've been pushing myself a little hard trying to prepare for winter.Until we can afford the MRI or the insurance comes through then approves us hubby has been being extra careful,so his work has been limited...I also agreed to do wholesale orders for a few shops.I swore off wholesale a few years ago because I lose my creativity doing a lot of repeative work,BUT I am so thankful right now I have the option so I don't have to go back to work.In our area there are not many jobs in the fields I'm qualified for..Sneak peek at the wholesale....
Blackened beeswax witches on broomsticks. Spicy scented then rubbed in a spice mix..Solid and double sided....Also been doing big pumpkins, lil pumpkins and owls..Don't want to show them all because I'm working on some swaps and want to surprise them..smile...
The witches are $15 plus shipping($3.50) if anyone is interested email me at cottageprims@hotmail.com I'll send you a invoice via paypal....We tried a new market on Saturday. It was a little past gettysburg going into the lake and mountain area.I was really worried because I was the only one with antiques and primitives, the other vendors had yard sale things, also I'm used to people being at market early like before dawn with flash lights and there were no people.Well about 8:30am people started coming in slow steady streams and it turned out to be a good day.The people were very friendly like they are at the Amish market.I think most were drive by going on the a trip to the mountains and just spotted us from the road. The one lady said the only reason she stopped was because she could see my dress form from the road and she did buy it..smile..The owner took pictures of our stand and said she was going to use it for advertising and the website. It's a new market so I hope they can get some good vendors in because it's only 30 mins from my house and very relaxed setting in the country but still has the main road out front...Not much exciting going on here.Like I said just busy.Like the rest of you been looking through the fall magazines, burning some fall candles and occasionally going up to the loft and sitting my fall decorations aside.Nope a little early for me to drag them down yet..LoL..I see you all sneaking in the pumpkins but I'm trying really hard to wait at least till the middle of september..Hope everyone has a wonderful week!~Amy

I've been trying to wait till September also to put my fall out. I'm so ready for cooler weather but they say it's supposed to be in the 90's this week here, yuck! Hope the insurance comes through for you!
Hi Amy,
I always wait until Sept. before I decorate for fall also. Wow, lots going on in your world. Love the witches, so cute! Glad you are able to do so many fairs right now, God is good. Have a blessed week. Thanks for entering my Amish giveaway!
xoxo
I love the old flax wheel and the shoes. The dough board is great also. Such great finds! I still want some old button shoes... still looking :)
Hello Amy, oh those kids high button shoes are so sweet, love them. Great noodleboard to, I`ve been looking for one, thats a beauty. Glad to hear you took a P.J. day, you needed it by the sounds of it. Can`t wait to see your goodies, yey Fall,Blessings Francine.
Wow Amy. I am glad you took a personal day:) You have been so busy. I had to go back to your previous post to do some catch up. I am so sorry to hear about your DH. Dr's are so frustrating. Sometimes I wonder and just shake my head at the kind of care they can be possible of sometimes. I would never go back there if I had a choice about it. I hope that you can find a good Dr. and get the MRI done. Recieving medical care is so expensive.
I dream of making my own things for selling someday. For now, I am just learning and practicing for myself, family, and friends. Maybe in a few years I will have learned all the tricks and have enough skills to do the projects well enough to sell. You have been a good inspiration to me. The blackend beeswax witch is really neat. How do you get the cinnamon spices to stick. Mine just soak in after a while.
The stitchery about a token of friendship is a free one I picked up this past week from Lori. I can't wait to make it.
All my fall things are out in the middle of my bedroom floor. I am calculating and putting things together, and running to Michales to get more.....never enough. I just need to grundge some pumpkins and finish a stitchery. The first week in
Septemeber is when the girls and I do our annual redecorading for the fall together. It is a special time for us. I pull out all the fall things and they do the decorating themselves. After they go to bed, I rearrange what I can:)
Have a great week. -Steph-
Hi Amy - glad to hear your busy in a good way and have had good sales!
You also got yourself some lovey new bootees and I have longed for a dough board like that for ages!
Blessings
Christine
Amy it sounds like you've been crazy busy. It's been the same here....I've been working on so many things. I think it's that end of summer push to get everything done before cold weather. I love the Fall but it's always to short.
So good to see your blog today. I love what you make and share with us. I am happy your marketing experience was a good one and may you have many more. You are so very creative!
Love your wonderful finds.
I'm trying to hold off too. But the truth of it is because of lack of time.
I'd say if my life was calmer, those pumpkins and fall goodies would be all over my house by now. :)
Hugs,
Tam
You have been busy. Praying for hubby and his back, no fun! Good luck with the wholesale. I will bet your kitchen smells yummy!
Blessings ~Sara

Love, love love the shoes and noodle board. Can't beat the antique ones, they just have a "look." Thanks for sharing your goodies.
Amy,
I so hope everything comes through for your Hubby & can get the MRI and on his way to healing up!... Back issues are never fun and mess with everything. In the last 10 years I have hernated 3 discs...ugh..... So loving your beeswax witch!!! Happy creating! OLM
I have not been blogging in awhile but stopped by. You have gotten some nice finds! Really cute shoes and love the dough board. Love the blackened beeswax witches you have made-very primitive looking!!!
Oh Amy those little shoes are sooooo sweet!!! Such a great find!!!
Been hectic around here too ~ and so hard to find the time to do everything I want to do.
So glad to hear the show went well for you.
Love the witch ~ I can smell it already!!!
Enjoy your day!
Prim Blessings

You had me at the shoes. You KNOW that is one of my absolute weakest spots. That is a darling pair....and if you ever decide to part with them, you know where to find me. Great noodle board too....I like the look of them on stove tops, but can't for the life of me figure out where I would put it when I cook (and, yes, I actually DO cook on occasion....) But finding a good old one like that would have pushed me over the edge of temptation too. Love the noodle holes in the sides of yours. And your witches are AWESOME!!! Been thinking of you and praying all is well and good. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
Adorable prims sweetie! I can't recall the last time I got a pj day...good for you! And hey, you might be getting this sale heading in a great "primitive" direction! Blessings
Debbie
Amy,
The little shoes are darling. Sorry to hear about your hubby's back..no fun. I loved going to Roots Market and would go wholesale shopping on Tuesdays just so I could stop in there. Gosh, I haven't been there in a few years. Maybe I'll make it there soon...
D
What great finds!
Have a happy week,
L
I had the craziest dream the other night. I had a Christmas tree up and decorated from Christmas but I was dragging all the fall decor down from the attic and then I realized I had this tree up and it was going to be out of place...all a tither, guess I am ready for fall, especially after the 100 degree temps a lot of us had this Summer!
