The Blue Cupboard

Well girls I got the blue cupboard in and decorated.Of course we all know it's not as simple as that.Once we start tweaking it goes into a major job...smile...We decided to use it for the TV stand in the living room.Yes the modern luxuries thrown in to a house you so desperately try to get to look 100 years old.It has 2 doors but we took those off for now so I can have display room. There is not enough room in the living room to leave them open..

A peek inside..You can click on the picks to get a better look.We left it as found because I like the worn blue paint...
On a different note I'm a little stressed today so if you could send up a little prayer I'd appreciate it.In our neighborhood there is only one rental property and it happens to be next door to me.Well I found out some not so wonderful people are wanting to move in and the real estate agent might bend the rules because they have the money to pay ahead.I found this out because I know the uncle of the people trying to get it.There are 5 adults and one kid.Two of the adults are thieves(one is currently on house arrest) They are not the people you want next door.We live in a quiet neighborhood in a small town.It concerns me because we leave the house at 4 am on weekends and I don't want to have to worry about the house being broke into. Two of the adults are Ok but they come as a package deal. They are coming to look at it tonite which I'm sure they'll love it but I'm hoping the real estate agent does her job and plays by the rules and decides not to rent to them. She is not a honest person herself when my girlfriend wanted to buy a house she offered to forge w2 forms to get her to pass so she went with another agent.Anyhow just say a little prayer that we get nice neighbors and that the people trying to get it will find a home somewhere else.....I've been going through some of the boxes of stuff I wanted to keep and decided it's time to let go of some so I'm thinking I might put a few things on a blog sale tomorrow.Well girls I gotta get busy.Hope you all have a wonderful day!~Amy

I LOVE your blue cupboard! What a great TV stand, glad you left it that color. Your goodies displayed in it are wonderful too! Having certain kinds of neighbors can be high stress. I hope this works out for you. If not, do not hesitate to work with the authorities. You have every right to safety for your home and family and peace! ~*~Lisa

I covet your cupboard Amy, lol...

I too went a with a 'mixed timelines' path for a tele stand (mine sits atop a waist height portion of a rescued 3' wide fluted wood southern plantation porch column)

Every fiber of my being is hoping for a contented outcome for you regarding the home next to you ~ I understand more than words could ever capture.

Looking forward to your blog sale!

I love the blue cabinet. A new tv stand is on my long list of things I want to find as well. I will keep you in my prayers. They definitely don't sound like the type of people you want next door.Fingers crossed it doesn't work out!

Love your new "old" blue cabinet and how you have everything displayed in it.
Keeping you in my prayers about the house next door to you. I know how you are feeling...we found out last weekend that we have a drug dealer living up the road from us. He has been in and out of jail several times. We had a feeling that something was going on and now that we know for sure...it stresses me out. We have lived here 19 years and this is a very nice older neighborhood. I feel bad for the folks that live right door to that house. It looks like the house is trashed and there is always people going in and out of there. A few folks up the road have actually sold their homes to move away what is going on up there. And the saddest part is that the house used to belong to my aunt and uncle and it was beautiful when they owned it.
hugs,
Cindy

...Hello Amy! *waving* That cupboard! *swoons* :o)

...So sorry to hear about the issue regarding the possibility of your new neighbors. I will definitely say a prayer for you in hopes that they will not get it. If I were you I would consider reporting this real estate agent to the realtor board in your area. What she is doing is not right and goes against their code of ethics that they take when becoming a realtor. Can you borrow a friend's dog that barks constantly or blast loud music when they come to view the home? I'm sure that is out of character for you but it'd be worth a try. ;o)

...Sending good wishes your way!

...Enjoy your day!

...Blessings :o)

Your blue cupboard looks great! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't get those "new" neighbors. We have someone in our neighborhood, we think we know who it is, that has been breaking into cars, etc and stealing what he can find. THey live just 2 houses down from us. Report them if you have too. Hopefully, even if they move in, they won't be there too long.

Love the cupboard. So nice and filled with such wonderful prim things. Sending up a prayer for your neighbor situation. I can imagine how you must feel. I sure hope the real estate agent sticks to the "rules" and doesn't let them move in. Keep us posted.

That cupbord is something I am sure I might hurt someone over!!! It's so wonderful and is alot bigger than it looks. The worn blue paint is what makes it so awesome. I hate rental properties. I wish they had written in our HOA rules that you can't rent your house out. There are several in our neighborhood. We had some real scary person living near us and he would park his numerous broken vehicles and huge vintage RV in front of his house and down the street. He would roam around his garage and yard all day and I have three little girls riding their bikes around. I never left them alone out there for a second. He just got evicted though. So, I can breathe again. I hope, hope, hope, those people don't move next to you. Good luck. -Steph-

Beautiful blue on that wonderful piece Amy - and what a fun piece to "accessorize!" Love it!

Hope the "neighbor" situation didn't materialize. We are blessed to not live with any really close neighbors - I would so not be able to cope living in town.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
