Chit Chat

Hi Girls! Not much going on here.Saturday I didn't find anything at the antique mall.Hubby found another spinning wheel it has the original label on it.So he owns 2 now and has sold 2.I just rolled my eyes and said if you really want it.LoL..He's thinking he might sell they other one..Sunday we went to fleamarket to look around a little early yet but we've had a mild winter and I wanted to see what was going on.Did not buy anything.Sunday afternoon went to grandma's old farmhouse and Brianna came home with me.It was funny we were eating dinner and Brianna and I were talking because when we left grandma's we couldn't find Hannah(they walked down to the pound).Brianna said she needed a break from her sister. So then she was fascinated by old bullet pencils hubby had sitting on the table. She said oh they are antique. So we were talking about old stuff and I told her when I die her and Hannah can have all my antiques and "old" stuff and they could sell it and be rich.Brianna says No I'm going to live in your house and keep it all so I can remember you...She thinks most of it is neat...
Hubby is home for a few days.Thursday he starts a rehab house but in the mean time he'll take up my personal time.I have a few swap things to finish up.Oh goodness just realized what hubby is doing, flipping my old mercantile cupboard around. You know me I don't do well with change. He says the doors need to be were I can open them so I can fix my things easier when they shift. To me it'll be backwards but he is right because every time I move it to fix the stuff inside when I move it back it all falls over.Plus I don't like moving it much since it's so old and heavy....Trying to finish up a giveaway and hope to get it posted this week...Hope you all have a wonderful day!~Amy

Good morning. It is good that you have someone who appreciates the wonderful old things. I'm afraid that when I go to that great antique museum in the sky, that would be heaven, that my kids will rent a 50 yard dumpster and clean out my house. LOL. Have a good day.

Hope you are enjoying hubby home with you for a couple of days. And I love it that your young one wants to live in your house with all your memories instead of selling it all off. What a treasure!

What a sweet story about Brianna! My daughter is mortified that I am into "old stuff" and thinks I am nuts!
She is going to be 10 next Wednesday. Oh well...

Sorry to hear about not getting the building - I have been so wrapped up in my own affairs I have not done much blog reading lately. Good luck on the new house flip tho!

Getting your swap in the mail today! So you will have it very soon!

Hugs!
Kerri

I'm so glad Brianna wants your house with the antiques..my kids think its firewood and would probably burn it, if itwere not for the fact that they know how much they cost. Take care Amy, Janice

I think that young children have the most precious insights. It's good you are teaching them about a past and to cherish history. It's sweet your hubby is thinking of you and trying to make things easier for you. What love. -Steph-

...That is so sweet that she just wants to move in to your home and be with the things you loved. Straight from the mouths of babes - nothing better! :o)

...Yeah, my husband does that same stuff some times. He usually doesn't give a hoot about decor or furniture placement but then suddenly it's as if he got a bee in his bonnet and now want to decorate. *sigh* I just let him have at it, live with it for a few days then change it back. *giggle* ;o)

...Your husband ought to take up spinning, yes? ;o)

...Love the photo of your old shoes and those darling little wooden shoe forms. Sweet!

...Have a wonderful weekend! I am. (my husband is out of town for the weekend. So peaceful.:o)

...Blessings :o)

Awww....What a sweetie Brianna is. I have to threaten my boys that if I pass before they do and they sell my treasures at a yardsale for a quarter, let the hauntings begin. ;o) They don't quite "get it." Love the little shoes and shoe lasts - but I bet you knew that. ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (Yup, playing catch-up again.....)
