Photo Friday ~ Crocks

I'm participating for the first time with The Primitive Pantry Photo Friday. Go here http://theprimitivepantryblog.blogspot.com/2011/02/photo-fridays-crocks.html to see who all displayed their prims this week. The theme this week is crocks.I picked just a few to share. We have them up to 30 Gallons.I like my crocks in good shape without cracks and blue decorated...Here is a stack my hubby did while he was bored yesterday...Bottom is 25 gallons huge...Yellow Ware Jug...

Some of my blue decorated..Would love some info on the indian head if anyone has some history..
This old blue Pitcher is one of my favorites..
Very old redware with blue decoration.A few tiny chips but found this one for a steal at a barn sale years ago..

This one I found last week...
Apothecary Morter with Pestal.....
Cider Jug from England....

Love this 3 gallon crock the blue is imperfect and it is out of round. They didn't throw out the defects over 100 years ago..
Hubby's Butter Churn Crock..The spout was to drain the buttermilk....
Love the ones with the bee sting design..

Hope you enjoyed some of my collection.I finally got the giveaway ready to post and it will be posted this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest. We are going to the antique mall this afternoon. It's cold and rainy so I'm a little stir crazy and hubby is off and offered so I couldn't say no.LoL....Warm Blessings!~Amy

Beautiful crocks! I love them too. Hubby says if I bring anymore home we will need to build on. I have a couple of those yellow jugs I picked up last summer. The lady said she got them in Ireland. Beautiful coloring! Thanks for sharing your collection!
