Tuesday's Display Chain Sentiments

Todays display chain theme is Sentiments..I don't have alot of heirlooms that are families as I'm lucky to have most of my loved ones with me still making memories.I do have a few things but they are packed away right now so I'll share some gatherings of other peoples sentiments...Above...I could make up a million stories here.Beautiful old painted portrait..Fabric covered journals...Mother of pearl opera glasses love the bee on the clasp to the holder...Old pinkeep..
Below..One of my favorites old hand carved trencher, oh the handcraftsmanship .. the woman in her cabin kitchen kneading and rising bread for her family..Old butter paddle to make some butter to go with the bread.Heart cutter so the family knew the cookies were made with love..The wood mold I haven't figured out it's use yet I think butter but not sure much love went into making it though and even the intial inside the heart...
But if you asked me what I'm most sentimental about it would be sundays with the family at grandma's old farmhouse....
My sweet nieces Hannah and Brianna.....
A hubby who will cook for me while all my little furbabies watch in hopes of a nibble....

Well we are expecting a major ice, sleet and snow storm and they are telling us to be prepared for no power and stay home.A little scary but I'm prepared so we'll be ok just maybe without a few comforts.Sounds like a good time to read by candle light with some warm tea....Hope you enjoyed my display for this week. Now hop over to our host Misi http://1890gablehousemusings.blogspot.com/2011/02/tuesday-display-chain-displayed.html to visit everyone else's links.Be Safe and Warm!~Amy

These things from back in the day certainly are beautiful, aren't they? Lots of hard work for those who had to use them, but done with love and caring for family.
You have two beautiful nieces, who I am sure are just wonderful to be around! Your little brood of furbabies look just like mine whenever anyone's in the kitchen..... So cute.

Those are some beautiful old treasures. But my favorites are the ones of Sundays at grandma's house and your sweet nieces and hubby who cooks for you - wonderful family memories.

Blessings,
Sue

Hi Amy, Aren't you lucky to be making memories with your family! And a hubby who cooks is PRICELESS (mine does too-so I know this)!

The wind is howling here and the snow is blowing against the windows. I have to take my pups out in this one last time before bed...poor dears! I hope you are staying cozy and safe indoors.
Warm hugs to you!
Rhonda

Love them all Amy! I think my favorite pic is all the babies looking up for a little snack possibility! LOL! They are so funny!
I hope you are staying warm! It's breezy here, that's what we've gotten from this storm, windchills.
Be careful.
Blessings,
Renee

Amy...I ADORE your blog. I love a fellow treaure seeker...one that looks for and finds all the stories that the past treasures hold.

Thank you for letting me see into your world. Also, thank you for visiting my whimsical world. Your name is in the Chazman's glass bowl.

Hugs,
Regi
