Wanted to stop in and wish everyone a Happy July 4th.Hope everyone has a wonderful summer day with family and friends! Been busy here.Wondering why they call it Lazy Summer Days? It's been so Hot here we've been in a heat wave.Hopefully today it will break.Fridays hubby and I have been going on early morning getaways for junking. There are to many dealers in our area and let me say they fight and are rude.I don't like fighting so we decided we would start taking little trips out of our area.Sometimes we find good stuff others we strike out but the rides are nice and not running into the same people is wonderful...
We need rain the gardens are dry.I am able to water our little kitchen garden at the house but the big garden at grandma's we can't as she has a small well.I got heirloom tomatoes that should be pickable the end of the week.I can't wait for a BLT with a real tomato with flavor.Yummm....We've got new neighbors moving in.Glad it's not the bad ones. The wife seems nice, the husband a little short fused and cocky. They seem like people that had alot of credit and spent alot got in debt and lost their house because they have alot of stuff and the husband said the place is too small and he already had to sell to many of his "toys".I don't think they'll be cook out with the neighbor types but that's ok I won't have to worry about my house.A wave hello is a just fine relationship....Our faithful birds our back with their sweet babies.Hubby says next year he'll build them a new house as theirs is getting a little shabby...
I can sit out on the back deck and enjoy watching them. They are only about 10 feet from the deck.
Love hearing them chirping....
I don't know alot about birds but it seems the mom and dad take care of the chicks together. They are the same ones that have came for 4 years now..
Well girls sorry so long between post lately, summer is my busy time with markets and just life in general.I do stop in and visit you all...Warm Blessings!~Amy

Happy 4th of July!! I love our "Sunday" drives for taking photographs and perhaps coming across some "junk"!!
Ha, where I live, suburbia, neighbors don't even tallk to one another much, just the wave, pull car into garage, shut garage door and that's it. Although we are "friends" with our neighbors on either side but don't socialize too much either. Sad in a way but that's California living LOL
We're still waiting to see who is going to rent the house on the corner . . . .
Hope you have find some great treasures! I plan on heading to an estate sale Friday .. . ..
xoxo

Oh Amy, I am so happy that the "bad" one's aren't moving in!!! I know how worried you were about that. Now you can feel your home is safe when you leave. Everyone needs good neighbors. I barely know anyone on my street and we've lived here for 5 years now.
How fun to spend those wonderful early weekend mornings on a pretty drive with DH to find "Junk". That sounds like the best time to me.
Your birds are so fun. I love the cute house you have for them. What a good mommy and daddy. Have a happy 4th. -Steph-

Amy, when we were in the Antique business my husband and I used to say, "You have to kiss a lot of frogs, before you find a prince." We never shopped near home. Two reasons, didn't want people knowing how much we paid, thus the mark up, and he never wanted anone to know where our "fishing hole "was.lol
Love our bird pix
Amy,
those birds are just the cutest little things, so is the birdhouse! Do you know what kind they are?
Have a great 4th my friend, be safe,
Be blessed

Hi Amy,
I hope you had a great 4th!
Love the little birdies!!! We have a pair of bluebirds that return each year to the same house. We have been soooo hot this summer too and our tomatoes are starting to suffer from it....but we have been blessed with enough.
I want to thank you for being such a sweet and faithful reader of my blog....especially when I have not been around to return the gesture. You have been there through the rough and the exciting times and I thank you for your uplifting words and prayers!!
Thanks my friend!! :)
What bossy little things, those baby birds. Aren't they so funny?!
Kendra

Newbie here from Ohio for the life of me I can not remember what Blog I was on that sent me to you so sorry not to give credit I can not imagine having neighbors again so glad we live on 80 acres of God's country ok back to enjoying your blog just wanted to pop in and say Hi
Cute birds!
Oh...yikes...how did I get this far behind??? So very sorry! Usually those who don't post every day are easier to keep up with, but it must have been that my "off" days were when you posted. Anyways.....not much has changed in the time passed - it's still horribly hot and humid here - and wretchedly dry. We were given an 80% chance of rain yesterday and today and told to expect up to 2 inches - and received not even a drop....clear, dry, skies tonight as well. Amazing bird photos!!! I love their sweet house! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
...Okay, lemme just say, that bird house is the BOMB! I love it! And you call that shabby?! Those lil' birds have some fine tastes in birdhouses - I'da chose that one too! ;o)
...So glad to hear you have at least halfway decent neighbors. I prefer ones that just wave at me versus one that is constantly pestering me. Maybe they'll warm up a bit more once they're settled in. :o)
...Enjoy that BLT my friend! Yum!
...Blessings
