Weekend Finds Thank Yous Swap Reminder Happy 4th

Boy that title was a mouth full!! You might want to grab some sweet tea as this is a long pictured filled post...Let's start with Happy 4th of July!! We are just having a lazy day with a small cook out and maybe stopping by a family reunion...I plan to be in the pool and doing as close to nothing as possible..smile....

Thank god for our idenpendance! Long may she wave! Thanks to all our men and woman who fight for our freedom!

Want to remind anyone who hasn't signed up for The Great Pumpkin Swap and wanted to you have till wednesday..Go here http://bumblebeelanecottage.blogspot.com/2011/06/great-pumpkin-swap-sign-up.html for rules and to sign up....

I wanted to thank everyone for the continued prayers, emails and sweet cards(you know who you are) for dad. It's so wonderful to have such special people who care.Dad is through his first week of radiation. He is knocked down and feels more sick and tired. He is a little grumpier and finally is starting to come to the reality of this being a long road.He honestly thought he was just going to go about regular day to day life....Well this week I found lots of goodies but way to many to take pics of most are going off to fleamarket tomorrow..This antique sewing machine I debated so hard on keeping but decided it's going tomorrow...Hope it finds someone to appriciate it.It folds down and is a nice stand as well.....

I've wanted a Billy Jacobs picture for awhile and couldn't find any locally.Well I hit a sale that was full of prims. The early bird gets the worm..So my first print....Love it!

This pile is what I'm hoping to keep...Gotta tweek and find some room today...Large Black Decoy..Another Billy Jacobs Print...A Blue Coverlet Runner...Antique Red Ware Crock it has a wonderful patina from age,I found another bigger redware crock at the sale. They came from the ladies husbands great grandma, those I got at the same sale as the sewing machine. The bigger crock is going to market tomorrow......

And finally found a tiny firkin to finish my stack..see it on the top.....Yes mine are all old...I've been looking for the tiny one for over a year...

Now some Thank You's. I participated in Tammy's A Primitive Place's Envelope swap were you had to fill a big padded envelope with goodies.Kriss had my name http://kountryporchprimitives.blogspot.com/

it was a secret. Here are the goodies she sent..Love the bee tucks! And she even thought of the furbabies..Let me say they were so happy to get some mail!

Thank you Kriss,I know you had some hard times and appreciate that you took time out for me.... My sis Renee (no she's not my real sis but you'd think we were separated at birth plus I'd trade my evil sister for her any day..smile) sent me a RAK a sweet card, some daisy and floxglove seeds and some yummy lime cilantro soap...Linda at Parker's Paradise had a little contest and sent three people who commented little prairie tucks she made....She is such a sweetie and always takes time to let me know how much she cares.I'm so glad to have her as a friend...

Well girls I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend.Don't forget to sign up for the Christmas in July giveaway at the top sidebar.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Amy,

My what a lot to post about! First let me say that I hope your Dad continues to have a positive outlook and keeps fighting this horrible disease. Hoping for a successful outcome for him.

Love the envelope swap goodies. They are too cool. I need to head on over to your post to sign up for the pumpkin swap...have already one thing started for it.

Love the sewing machine. Sure wish I could get away to the flea market to meet you and see that sewing machine in person, but the son has to work tomorrow and needs his chauffeur at home...sigh! Maybe some day soon!

Linda is just too sweet and so are the stump dolls. I was lucky to receive one in the mail today too. Will have to take a picture and do a post about where I'm putting her. Thinking she would look awesome in an americana display that I am putting together.

Have a great holiday weekend.

Wow Amy, I am beginning to think I just live way to far south... Can't ever find goodies like you ladies seem to find. Primitives are just not popular around here, as we have No primitive shops within 50 miles of me I know and most likely futher. I only know of 3 in our whole state. Love all your finds, they are wonderful. I couldn't stand to part with any of them. You have a great day and thanks for sharing the photos.

Bunches and bunches of lovely goodies Amy! Love your little pillow tucks from Kriss and your stump doll from Linda!! It's so...LINDA!!! Gotta love it! And wow - someone actually sold those things at like a yard sale??? Why is it we only have baby clothes for sale around here?!! Love everything you scooped up - the prints, the coverlet, the crock, the firkin...EVERYTHING!! Wish I could buy that sewing machine - when my great aunt passed away, they sold my great grandmother's machine at an estate sale - and I missed it!! And it had all her sewing supplies still tucked in the drawers....I went home and cried...Hope it finds a good home. Continue prayers for your father - and for you sweetie...Hope you get to spend time bonding with your pool! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I'm sorry your Dad has to be sick during this. It affects everybody differently. Hopefully he'll adjust to it and feel better soon. I will continue to pray.
Please know, you are in my thoughts and prayers and the offer to talk is still open.
