Oh my Poor Little Boo

Well yesterday was supposed to be my relax day but of course that wasn't happening.LoL...My accident prone little Boo ripped his dew claw when I looked at it the first time it looked painful but when I looked at it the second time it was flipped the wrong way so off to the vet he went. They had to keep him till 7pm as they had to sedate him and remove the tip of his toe and calturize it.I'm begining to get a complex about going to the vet.LoL they probly think I abuse him.He has seizures occasionly found out smoked treats trigger it, his brother bit him in the head playing and it got a little punture wound that got infected so they had to slice it and give him 13 stitches, and he scratched his eye last month this has all been in the last year.I told the vet last night I'm getting a giant hamster ball for him to live in.He is a good little dog. He's a rough and tumble type but has the sweetest manner to him. He's up and about this morning and happy as can be.Mung my other dog never has to go to the vet except for his annual check up he's like a tank........Well I did manage to get some crafty stuff done in the morning and Plan to take some time out for myself today.I'll be doing my giveaway annoucement later today or tomorrow at the latest.I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but I think I got it figured out now. It's supposed to be cold, windy and damp today and cold a blustery through the weekend so a good weekend to nest.I'm gonna maybe go to the antique mall and buy a hanging board.(it's been on my mind a week) .I also saw a craft show was starting today when I took Boo to the vet.Below is a pic of Boo last night when he came home still groogy from sedation. He fell right asleep till I got up at 4:30 this morning.Hope everyone has a great morning!~Amy

The Turkeys are out

Well I got all my halloween cleaned up and drug my Thanksgiving stuff down from the loft.I don't go all out for thanksgiving since it's so short and I'm anxious to get my christmas stuff out.But do love Thanksgiving and turkeys and the rements of fall.Yesterday I ran all day post office twice as I found a package under the seat that hubby missed on mondays shipment.Got my hair cut it was almost to my waist and I got it cut to a little below my shoulders.Love it! It has so much volume and I was tired of it always hanging. Then went and got me and hubby a couple new clothes. Then shopped at Walmart for food, then stopped at our local store for meats and odds and ends.Good part is I got eveything done so I can take the day for myself today. It's going to be cold, raw and rainy so a good day to stay inside and enjoy things.I'm going to relax and read my prim magazines that have been piling up,finish up my swap goodies and get them ready to mail tomorrow and work on getting a giveaway together.Ok so onto the turkey tour.LoL... Tuesday Display Chain #6 Peek-A-Boo

Robyn picked todays theme Peek~A~Boo and wanted to know how we store, hide or stash things.Well let me tell you in my house there are a ton of these.I'm going to keep it simple though as I don't want you to know all my little secret clutter hiding spots..LoL...The old slant desk below holds all my bills that aren't stacked on the table,mail,taxes... oh and a antique civil war era paper magazine that I haven't had a chance to look at since I bought it 5 months ago. When company comes it's easy to grab everything piled on the table and throw it in here.Instant clean up!! Old stepback ..When my hubby redid and extended our only bathroom I lost my pantry so this became the new pantry..
Top holds all my food, bottom (not picture) holds my mixer, blender, bread machine and whatever else I can stack in there.

My miniature stepback bottom hides...

Candles and extra holders...

My biggest problem is books, cookbooks and magazines they are stashed a little here and there all over the house. In the living room I have a huge leather ottoman that opens that's a great place to stuff them, hubby tried to move it and it wieghs like 200lbs so that would be my biggest challange to find a place for magazines and books.Maybe I'll find something while checking everyone else Peek~A~Boo places. Primlish is hosting this week while misi is away so drop her a thank you and check out the other chain links.Harvest Blessings!~Amy

Weekend Finds and Little Goblins

Well it was a brisk weekend here.Supposed to be 50's most of the week then 40 and rain towards the end of the week.I was still wanting yardsales. I did go to one but I really think I need to just get it out of my thoughts.LoL.. Hubby took me to some antique malls but everyone must of had similiar ideas as my normal stands were picked through.I did find a few goodies.... Hooked Rug with acorn pattern.Love the browns and drab colors in this.I love hooked rugs but they are usually too expensive for my budget. I plan to hang this one I wanted a hanger board but it was $45 I'll wait till hubby can make me one.
Remember this weekend find from last week????

Well we found the original tin churn for it.How lucky was that!! I couldn't believe it when my husband found it I thought this would be one of those things that took forever to find and certainly not the next week.It still retains it's original label and lid...

I found this little school desk it's iron and oak and soooo heavy. It'll go in my corner in my bedroom.I have some old school books and a inkwell to sit on it.I had a little desk I sold about a month ago it was the bench style,It took up to much room,so finding this little one was perfect. It can adjust in height and you can tilt the desk top.
Love the natural wood and old red paint

Of course mung mung wanted to check it out..

And even a little opening drawer...

The little firken below I didn't get yet.I bought it from RWALSH on Etsy and burrowed her pics..

Well last night was trick or treat. My sister Melissa always takes the twins for mom and her son Jayson. They stop over afterwards and boy was little Brianna wound up,she was being a total brat to much sugar...Hannah Honeybunch was sweet as always and Jayson was tooo darn cute as a little vampire. Here is Hannah as a witch here she is a sweet witch but further down is her bad witch look with ugly mask...

See sweet as sugar.....

Jayson as a vampire..

This one turned out with red eyes.Like oh mamma you only think I'm sweet HaHaHa.. No really he is a sweetie.(smile)

Hannah in her evil witch mask.Eeek!

Brianna was a skeleton girl but she was such a brat. She would not pose for a picture. She acts like me when I was little.... Bratty.....She had a skeleton outfit on with a toile tutu.
Well today I sent a few swaps.Lorna if your reading yours is going wednesday and my doll swap for trish will be sent the end of the week.Excited to see what she comes up with. She does whimsy dolls and I'll be her first prim doll. Then I'm caught up.I'd like to do one or two more swaps before december so if you hear of any or want to do a private one let me know.I'm also working on getting a giveaway ready to post hopefully by the end of the week so check back for that.Harvest Blessings!~Amy
