Reclaimed Counter

I just realized I forgot to show you the reclaimed counter/bar Hubby built me...
The chippy pale green wood is reclaimed from a local Farm porch that was torn down at the edge of our small town. Reclaimed slate top. And the metal tiles I have had tucked away for a few years....
Lots of extra storage which I needed.  The handles are the antique fence topper connectors and have a fleur de lis top. Love how I chose the materials and hubby put it into reality for me... So what have you all been up to? Finally spring here.I have most of the garden planted.A few veggies under lights inside for another week. I need to pick up a few perennials yet trying to add a few new things. . Been slowly thinning out the house and collections but seems soon as I get rid of something another thing comes in. My hubby is no help with this, he tries to talk me into keeping things I decide should go.Mostly antiques...smile....I hate cleaning but can't stand dirt so I endlessly try to downize.

It is perfect! Is that tin on the front? You both did an awesome job on this counter.

Your counter turned out amazing Amy! So sweet that you two can work together so perfectly to make something so amazingly creative. Love, love, love that slate top. Spring isn’t here yet....we get a nice day every 10 days or so, and then it is back to rain, wind, and cold.....snow mid-week again they say.... I am so, so, weary of it. We still have snow in the ditches and no one has had to mow yet. Slowest spring ever! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend! (And, hey...I so know about that “out and in” thing when it comes down to trying to downsize). ~Robin~

No planting here yet...hopefully soon. Being a bit further North from you means we usually have to wait until the end of May. Things are lush and green though and I am so glad winter is over.
